Data capture points
Capturing and updating patient data at the point of service is vital for providing real-time validation. We provide a range of options to automate this process. The technology used depends on the client.
Magnetic cards
Magnetic cards provide a quick and reliable method for entering (and updating) customer data at the point of service. What used to be a slow, error-prone process is now made easy with the simple swipe of a card. Whilst other technologies are also available, magnetic cards prove to be the most cost effective solution and are therefore used by the majority of clients. A photo of the card holder can be added for identification purposes. They also provide a powerful marketing tool as they are customized to display the logo and brand identity of the insurance company.
POS terminals
Medical practices are provided with Point of Sale (POS) terminals which connect to the central data base via a phone line. Patient data is quickly and easily entered by swiping the card and a printed receipt is provided for each transaction.
PMS integration
We can integrate the Conexia system with existing Practice Management Systems (PMS) of medical practices, hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies. This helps avoid the duplication of data and provides a familiar interface for the data entry staff.
Web interface
Patient data is entered via a web page which is customized for each client in line with their branding. This method requires no installation and minimal training. The only requirement is a PC and reliable internet connection at the point of service.
IVR
An Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system allows a regular telephone to act as a data capture point. This method is typically used for providers with less volume or as backup for other systems.
Mobile phone interface
We provide an interface which allows data to be entered directly from a mobile phone. This is very useful for doctors and healthcare providers who move around or visit patients, as they can always have access to the system using their cell phone.
Call center interface
Healthcare organizations that operate a customer contact center can use their call center staff as another channel to capture data. We provide an easy-to-use web interface that allows authorized call center staff to enter data directly into the Conexia real-time data validation system.
